w
NewsTable in a Cafe'

w

A bit more than meets the eye. Dual WiFi antennas, RFID/NFC sensors, the design was easily 8 years before its time.
Function:
The NewsTable was designed to create a cost effective, digital news distribution network. Target client was Starbucks and the New York Times. Everyday, 600 NYT deliveries are made in Starbucks nationwide. The NewsTable made this obsolete.
Design Considerations:
The NewsTable was designed to be a publicly accessible touchscreen, so it had t be tamper proof and indestructible. It is.
Results:
Both Starbucks and the New York Times, as well as Hearst Corporation, declared, 'there is no future in touch screen technology". Guess they were wrong.

sfg

Design Considerations:

Spoovy was a video greeting card company , delivering unique date to unique users. Messages were video, audio, text and hyperlinks, all sequenced dynamically.
Results:
Apparently I designed Googles AdSense 6 years before The Google boys did. Should be pending litigation
